This enhanced version now meets the newest ANSI Z359.9 standard and has undergone rigorous third-party testing by UL and TÜV SÜD, ensuring compliance with both ANSI and CE standards up to an impressive height of 210 meters.

With over 50,000 SRK-15® kits sold globally, this trusted rescue solution is used by workers across more than 35 countries. The recent improvements highlight Tech Safety Lines' ongoing commitment to innovation, safety, and reliability.

The SRK-15® includes the Military Compact Descender™, a personal lowering device. The SRK-15® micro rescue kit ensures an independent, immediate, and adaptable evacuation and self-rescue capability. This versatile rescue kit can also be paired with a StepWise® Fall Arrest Lanyard to perform a self-rescue after a fall. Additionally, the SRK-15® micro rescue kit can be inverted and used for an assisted rescue. During ladder rescues, the rescuer can perform a hands-free, active assisted rescue while maintaining three points of contact.

Carrollton, Texas (Sept. 29, 2025) - Tech Safety Lines (TSL) announced today that the MCD® Fire Escape System has achieved NFPA certification, marking a significant milestone in the company’s mission. This certification ensures that firefighters and first responders can rely on TSL’s proven technology in full compliance with the National Fire Protection Association’s rigorous standards.

TSL CEO Diane Waghorne's commitment to safer solutions began as the horrific events of Sept. 11, 2001, unfolded before her eyes. While watching, she noticed the lack of safe descent options for those trapped in the buildings. Three weeks later, she traveled to meet with a military manufacturer to discuss bringing the Military Compact Descender to the Dallas Fire Department and SWAT, ultimately acquiring the patent for the proven Military Compact Descender® (MCD®). She then guided the evolution of this military technology for civilian emergency response applications, establishing the foundation for Tech Safety Lines and decades of innovation.

Tech Safety Lines is seeking an experienced Rope Access Trainer (IRATA/SPRAT) to join our training team in Dallas. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching, excels in technical rescue environments, and wants to work with a global leader in fall protection and rescue solutions.

As part of our team, you will deliver both classroom instruction and hands-on simulations using TSL’s patented rescue equipment. You’ll train technicians from industries such as wind energy, oil & gas, utilities, construction, and telecom—helping ensure workers go home safe every day.

Deliver engaging, high-quality training in rope access, fall protection, and rescue techniques

Lead practical demonstrations using TSL’s rescue systems and equipment

Support training programs at TSL’s Dallas training center and at client sites domestically and internationally

Provide clear, safety-focused instruction to diverse groups of students

Maintain accurate training records and uphold TSL’s training standards

Current SPRAT or IRATA certification (Level II or III preferred)

Demonstrated experience in rope access, rescue, or high-angle operations

Strong communication and instructional skills

Ability to travel occasionally for client-site training

CEO Diane Waghorne accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the company during a ceremony at City Hall, where Mayor Steve Babick delivered a keynote address highlighting Tech Safety Lines’ industry leadership and community contributions.

The Mayor’s Spotlight Award, part of Carrollton’s Business Retention & Industry Development Program, was established to recognize exemplary local businesses that drive innovation, growth, and excellence while enhancing the community’s prosperity. This award celebrates companies that embody Carrollton’s vision of a thriving business ecosystem and a strong, connected community.

Mayor Babick lauded Tech Safety Lines for its global impact on safety training and equipment while remaining deeply engaged with local initiatives. Since establishing its Carrollton headquarters in 2012, Tech Safety Lines has set international standards for fall protection and rescue training. The company also demonstrates its commitment to public safety by offering state-of-the-art training facilities free of charge to local first responders for skill development and internal exercises.

Diane Waghorne, the driving force behind Tech Safety Lines’ innovation and success for more than two decades, delivered a heartfelt speech. “Receiving the inaugural Mayor’s Spotlight Award is a tremendous honor,” Waghorne remarked. “Carrollton has been an integral part of our journey, providing a supportive and dynamic environment that aligns with our mission to protect lives. This recognition reflects the hard work of our incredible team, the trust of our clients, and the strength of our partnerships. The ceremony also featured a video presentation showcasing Tech Safety Lines’ achievements and ongoing community engagement.
