3M™ DBI-SALA® Rollgliss™ R550 Rescue and Descent Device Kit
The 3M™ DBI-SALA® Rollgliss™ R550 Rescue and Descent Device provides the flexibility of controlled descent rescue, evacuation, or the adaptability of assisted rescue with lifting capabilities. This advanced, fully automatic controlled descent system can be utilized for rescue and evacuation from heights up to 1,640 ft (500 m) for a single user weighing 310 lbs (141 kg) or 575 ft (175 m) for two users with a combined weight of 620 lbs (282 kg).
The device incorporates 3/8 in (9.5 mm) super static kernmantle rope and comes equipped with connecting hardware at both ends of the lifeline to enable bidirectional operation. In assisted rescue situations, a fallen worker can be connected to the R550 device, lifted to a position that permits removal of their fall arrest equipment, then safely lowered to ground level.
