Competent Climber & Rescue Training: Bridge
The Competent Climber & Rescue Training course curriculum is designed to help you and your company establish a safe work environment, safe work practices, and the safe implementation of emergency procedures. We are committed to ensuring that all of our students meet the unique qualifications needed for working at height.

Each student must have appropriate PPE, including a full body harness, dual leg lanyard and any personal fall protection devices normally used. Students should be prepared to climb an actual structure several times each day.

The objective of our course is to educate students on fall protection standards and techniques, as well as the risks associated with working at height. By reinforcing safe work practice theories through exercises and scenarios, we allow an immediate opportunity for students to apply these concepts in a real-world environment. Our goal is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to be competent and confident bridge technicians.

We offer a recertification course for those with an expired wallet card.
This includes the physical requirements, a demonstration of the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform elevated work activity, as well as recognition and mitigation of the hazards associated with the bridge industry.

Learn the fundamentals of rescue for the bridge industry. The second portion of this course concentrates on the various uses and applications of self-rescue and assisted rescue equipment for use on bridges. After becoming comfortable with the simple processes used with the equipment, the students will perform and participate in several simulated rescue scenarios.
These exercises will include a variety of real-life situations:
- Accessible victim
- Remote victim
- Pick-offs
- Self-rescue/refuge
- Other challenging drills
