Bolting Equipment & Tools

The TSL Bolting Equipment and Tools Course provides participants with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely and effectively operate bolting tools in industrial applications. This 1-day course covers the setup, use, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic torque/tension tools, ensuring that students can confidently handle bolting tasks in various work environments.

Taught by ASME-certified instructors, this course emphasizes workplace safety, hazard identification, and proper tool handling. Participants will learn to recognize and mitigate risks associated with torque/tension applications, understand safe storage and handling practices, and interpret pressure conversion charts to ensure accuracy in bolting operations.

Tech Safety Lines is the premiere authorized training provider in the U.S. for HYTORC, the global leader in industrial bolting systems. By the end of the course, students will have the expertise to properly set up and operate bolting tools, improving safety, efficiency, and reliability in their field. Upon successful completion, students earn a HYTORC Training Certificate, recognized industry-wide.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Identify hazards associated with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic torque/tension tools
  • Identify hazards associated with torque/tension applications
  • Generic setup and use of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic torque tools
  • Generic setup and use of hydraulic tension tools
  • Understand how to read pressure conversion charts
  • Safe handling and storage of tooling and equipment involved in torque/tension applications
