Basic Bolter Training

The Basic Bolter Training Course provides foundational skills and knowledge for safe and effective bolt torque and tensioning in industrial applications. Tech Safety Lines is the premiere authorized training provider in the U.S. for HYTORC, the global leader in industrial bolting systems. Upon successful completion, students earn a HYTORC Training Certificate, recognized industry-wide.

This 1.5-day course, taught by ASME-certified instructors, combines essential theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. Participants will gain expertise in bolted joint integrity, safe torquing and tensioning methods, and precision bolting techniques.

Key topics include:

  • Hazard identification related to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic torque/tension tools
  • Proper setup and use of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic bolting equipment
  • Lubrication application for accurate torqueing
  • Reading pressure conversion charts for precision bolting
  • Safe handling and storage of bolting tools and equipment
  • Bolting patterns (+4 method and more)
  • Bolt grade identification

Designed for professionals in industries such as wind energy, construction, and oil & gas, this course equips students with the knowledge and hands-on skills to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability in bolting operations.
